  5. To protect, promote and preserve Bhutanese culture, custom, traditions, and values

 To support Bhutanese community in the event of natural disaster & emergency

VISION:

  1. Establish OBCA as an umbrella organization of all Bhutanese and for all Bhutanese
  2. Support Bhutanese community integrate into mainstream American society without losing Bhutanese culture, tradition, and values
  3. Empower and support Bhutanese community to achieve American Dream

Award and Humanitarian Support

As a Social, nonprofit organization OBCA always inspire the active community members and as part of the mission OBCA has awarded numbers of active social workers. We are always please to award and share our social volunteers’ great contribution in our society since we established. Our mission is to promote our arts, culture and values and continue the ethos to generations. OBCA has pinned the various selfless contributions that our communities. OBCA has awarded this great inspiring figure so far.

  • 2011: Editor of Bhutan News Service TP Mishra for his outstanding work for advocating Refugee Issues via online news portal in Tennessee and newly resettled Bhutanese of Springfield Massachusetts
  • 2012: Punya Foundation Arizona for his outstanding humanitarian assistance works.
  • 2013: Legendary Singer of Bhutan Mr. Pratap Subba
  • 2014: Marked the 200th birth anniversary of Adhi Kabi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya in Hartford CT with the Slogan Suicide Is Preventable with Bhutanese Literary Figures.
  • 2015: UNHCR Representative of Nepal Craig Senders for long runs humanitarian assistance and resettlement program. Texas Fort Worth.
    •  Awarded letter of Appreciation ORR State Refugee Coordinator Ohio and best resettled Bhutanese community in America (Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh PA). 
  • 2017: Donated $500 to Caritas Nepal.
